Sandy Gyllyngvase beach (awarded Blue Flag status for cleanliness in May 2011) is a hop and a skip across the road and the coastal footpath almost passes the door.  

 

All the town’s facilities are within walking distance so exploring and evenings out can be car-free. Ferries sail to Truro, St Mawes and the Helford River, giving access to beautiful gardens at Trelissick, Glendurgan and Trebah. Staying in is also enjoyable, with a convivial open plan living-room making the most of the sea views.
